The Synovial Chondromatosis in Bursa of Osteochondroma on the Proximal Metaphysis of the Humerus.

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a case of unusual localization of synovial chondromatosis in the bursal sac of osteochondroma of proximal humerus. Synovial
chonbromatosis is a rare entity characterized by metaplastic cartilage formation with in the subsynovial connective tissue and the shedding of loose bodies into the joint. Halstead credits Laennec with the first description of the condition in 1813, since
then there have been many case reports in the literature as well as several views. Synovial chondromatosis most often affects men in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th decade of life. It is usually monoarticular and generally involves a large joint, most often the knee and to a lesser extent the elbow, hip, shoulder, diarthrodial joint, tendon sheath and bursa. It is found infrequently in any location, but cases involving bursal sac are so unusual that documentation of a single additional case is warranted. Here author report a case of synovial chondromatosis in bursa of osteochondroma of proximal humerus, 33 year old female patient.
